And another month whooshes by…

I do get a little mystified when I peek at my blog and realize that nearly a month has gone by since my last post. May has been a nice month for me, since for the first time in a long time I had no overnight trips scheduled. While I love my fiber-related travel, it can be exhausting, and right now I’m gearing up for some new big projects. Which means it was especially enjoyable to catch up on sleeping in my own bed.

So what’s been going on this month instead of traveling?

I had a lovely Mother’s Day, including a delicious dinner out at one of our favorite local restaurants.

I saw several wonderful concerts in which my kids got to show off their hard work at their various musical instruments.

I took a delightful day trip to a shop in Newark, Delaware called Stitches With Style, where I helped celebrate their sixth anniversary with a book-signing–and was ecstatic to see their amazing Wall O’ Sock Yarn:

I dyed some roving, as well as some sportweight and DK-weight yarns:

I did some stealth quilting (pix coming soon).

I saw my oldest go to a semi-formal and also receive a silver national medal in the National French Contest. And play the sax when the marching band was in the Memorial Day parade.

I got to see a pattern of mine appear in the latest Noro Magazine:

So when I look at all of that, I kind of feel better about not having time to blog as much!

I’ll try to be better, though. I have a huge backlog of book reviews I want to get to. Much has been made of the supposed death of book publishing, and since I love books and constantly am finding knitting books that inspire me, I love sharing them.

I have that same pile of books that need reviews. Wanna race?
