Giveaway winner and more….

Right now I’ve been socked with a number of deadlines, some knitting and some writing.  It does seem as though I rotate through phases where multiple things are due simultaneously, then phases where all deadlines are far in the distance.  Right now it’s definitely the former. Since I hate to post mindless filler content here, let’s go with the bulleted list:

  • The random number generator picked Karen as the winner of Hunter Hammersen’s beautiful new book, The Knitter’s Curiosity Cabinet: Vol. 2. Karen  commented, “I love the mitts pictured in blue. Second favorite would be the butterfly wrap.” I’ve contacted Karen via Ravelry and will get her book out when I get mailing info. Thanks, everyone, for entering!

  • It’s the last day or so of the Summer Search raffle, and you still have about 24 hours to squeeze in a donation of $5 or more to be eligible to win. I am so grateful to all of you who have entered thus far. Go here  for details.
  •  I’ll be taking my annual Rhinebeck trip this weekend (after missing last year due to my unexpected illness) and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not teaching or vending so this will be a weekend just for fun.  I’ll be teaching at Stitches East in November (also after missing last year due to my unexpected illness). I hope you’ll consider taking one of my classes; we always have a great time and I seem to have the nicest students. I’ll be at VK Live in New York in January, and my new class and lecture are open for registration right now. And Stitches West the month after that!  If you click on the “Events” tab of my website, here, it will show you where I’m teaching and booksigning, along with links for more information.

There’s a very big birthday coming up in our house, so you’ll definitely see some photos of the birthday boy later this week as he hits a milestone. . .

Thanks so much! I will enjoy the book, and I’ll share it with my knitter friends!
