DK (Double-Knitting) Weight Yarn

Category 3 on the Craft Yarn Council chart, DK weight yarn knits at 5.5 stitches per inch, usually on size US 4 to 6 needles.

Perennial favorite of knitters, DK weight yarns give greater speed of knitting (at approx. 5.5 sts per inch on US 4-6 needles) while producing a still-lightweight knitted fabric.

Devon
Introduced in 2011, Devon has become extremely popular for good reason: it’s got an amazing blend of fibers (merino wool, alpaca and silk), takes the dye with richness and complexity, has terrific stitch definition, and is cushy-soft. Each skein is a generous 600+ yards.

Superwash Merino Classic DK
Sibling to the fingering weight Superwash Merino Classic, the DK weight yarn features the same wonderful 100% superwash merino wool, but knits as a true DK weight. Great for baby items, scarves, mittens and hats; special orders for sweater quantity also are an option.

Louella
New for 2012, Louella is a luscious softly-spun single that flies across your needles! You’ll adore this blend of 40% baby alpaca, 40% merino wool and 20% silk, in skeins of 250 yards. Perfect for next-to-the-skin wear, like cowls and scarves.

Cashmerino DK
Like Cashsock but in a heavier DK weight, this blend is perfect for wristers, cowls, scarves and baby items. Each skein is approximately 230 yards and is a blend of 80% merino, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon. Great stitch definition and a luxurious hand.
